responsible enterprise print

Print is pervasive, and so is the opportunity for enterprise print activities to be more efficient and more sustainable. The economic, environmental and social impacts of print are significant but they are not sustainable as currently produced and consumed by large enterprises in North America. Corporations can save significant expense, dramatically reduce environmental impacts, increase knowledge worker productivity and more, by adopting a sustainable approach to enterprise-wide printing.

The Institute for Sustainable Communication developed the Responsible Enterprise Print (REP) program to address this growing issue. REP is a systematic framework for the implementation of sustainable print communication practices administered by recognized authorities in large scale organizational change, advised by a team of experienced business professionals and delivered by a new generation of business communication leaders.

The REP program provides corporations with the resources and tools required to realize enterprise-wide costs savings and enhanced organizational performance while supporting the deployment of sustainable business practices. In addition, the REP program collaborates with leading educational institutions in support of the education and development of communication professionals and then places them in corporate environments where they cane apply principles for sustainable print throughout the enterprise.

Developed by the not-for-profit Institute for Sustainable Communication, REP helps build more profitable, environmentally sound and socially responsible corporations and the future leaders of business
